The Brown Nurses Ministry is the work of Our Lady's Nurses for the Poor.  Brown Nurses is a public benelovent institution governed by a Board of Directors, in accordance with its Constitution as a company limited by guarantee.

Brown Nurses, based at Glebe, provide in-home support to socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and families with complex care needs living in the local government areas of Sydney,Randwick and Leichhardt.

The Brown Nurses are committed to offering holistic care to the sick poor in their own homes, particularly by building trusting relationships and bringing hope and dignity to people who have no hope.

The care offered to these people is based on the social justice teaching of the Catholic Church which upholds the dignity of the individual and the right of every person to the fulness of life.
